A wonderful opportunity has arisen for a senior veterinary surgeon or clinical director at a practice based on the Norfolk/Suffolk border. With the beautiful Norfolk coastline only an hour's drive away, this is the perfect position for someone who loves the great outdoors.

Based in Thetford, our client has been providing outstanding small animal care to the people and pets in the area since the 1960's. They have built their service on care and respect for pets and their owners, with a personal, friendly approach.

The team comprises of experienced Veterinary Surgeons, Veterinary Nurses and receptionists, some of whom have been there for many years. You will mainly be based in the Thetford practice, however our client does have two other practices in the area and you will share responsibility for the branches with the existing clinical director and senior vets.

All facilities are well-equipped and offer many services including an in-house laboratory, dental work, in-house diagnostics, surgery and much more.

-time vets work a 4 day week (36 hours) and participate in a 1 in 10-12 out of hours rota, however, weekday evenings are on for inpatient duty and weekends are 8:30am
  • 5pm on Saturdays and 9am
  • 12pm on Sundays with a Friday off the week after a weekend on call.
Their current clinical directors get 1 day a week of admin time, but this is flexible if you feel that you need more, or if you would rather spend more of your time in clinical work.

They are looking for someone who wants to be part of the team and who will strive to provide the best possible care for the pets and people who walk through their doors.

Role:

  • Salary up to £70,000 DOE
  • 4 days a week, 36 hours per week
  • 1 in 10-12 OOHs rota, including weekday in-patient care and weekends
  • Saturdays 8:30am - 5pm, Sundays 9am - 12pm
  • Fridays off in lieu when on OOHs rota
