Senior IT Developer

Development Requires a very good working knowledge of object-oriented programming and must be fully conversant and have practical development experience using the standard toolsets available to the development team. The post holder will be expected to develop applications which may involve the use of various development tools and may require complex algorithms and database designs.
The post holder will need to understand and must be able to implement efficient data structures and optimise data search and retrieval methods. Planning Communicate any planned system downtime of IT applications developed by the IT development team to affected users.
Under the guidance and direction of the IT Integration and Development Manager create comprehensive testing and training materials prior to any supported application being placed into service. Upon commencing employment with the Trust, all employees (except Medical & Dental Staff on national terms and conditions) are subject to a probationary period lasting a period of six months with an option to extend for a further six months to a total of 12 months.
