Overview:- Catering to students aged 16-25 with EHCPs
- Facilities include sensory rooms, functional kitchen, and gym
- Focus on English and Maths education, aiming for Grade 4 GCSE
- Work placements facilitated by LSAs, 1 day per week
- As a Learning Support Assistant, you will be working closely with students with special educational needs (SEN) in a specialist college in Yate, South Gloucestershire.
- You will be responsible for creating engaging and inclusive learning environments, supporting the educational needs of students aged 16-25 with EHCPs.
- The college offers various facilities, including sensory rooms, a functional kitchen, and a gym, to provide a well-rounded learning experience for the students.
- The primary focus of the role will be to support students in English and Maths education, with the aim of achieving Grade 4 GCSE.
- In addition, you will also have the opportunity to facilitate work placements for the students, one day per week.
- Previous experience in SEN support is preferred, as it will enable you to better understand the unique needs of the students and provide effective support.
- As a Learning Support Assistant, you should have the ability to create engaging and inclusive learning environments that cater to the diverse needs of the students.
- A passion for supporting the educational needs of SEN students is essential in this role.
- Relevant qualifications in teaching or supporting students with special educational needs (SEN) are preferred.
- A valid DBS certificate is required.
