Requirements

Main purpose of job

Working closely within the finance team and for the FD, the Accounts Assistant will work across three companies, in charge of sections of three areas - accounts receivable (credit control), accounts payable and cash postings. In addition to strong relationships with Accora staff, building a rapport with customers and suppliers will be essential to ensure ease of communication.

Key responsibilities, duties and tasks
  • Co-management of the finance email inbox and ensuring queries are answered in a polite and concise manner
  • Leading the customer debt chasing
  • Overseeing weekly BACS run and payments to suppliers
  • Processing supplier invoices, delivery and GRN notes
  • Weekly and monthly bank reconciliations
  • Assisting with month end duties including credit card on-line system, fuel card entries
  • Credit control for multiple entities
  • Various other ad-hoc duties (including administration of Irish pension, healthcare and payroll)

Qualifications and training

It is essential that the postholder has:

  • Qualifications to GCSE-level standard, or equivalent
  • Intermediate level Microsoft Office experience
  • Comfortable with accounting software.

Experience and knowledge

It is desirable that the postholder has:

  • Relevant product and industry knowledge
  • Previous use of NetSuite (the main accounting software)

Skills and abilities

It is essential that the postholder has:

  • Strong communication (oral and written) and numeracy skills
  • Effective and confident telephone skills, with an excellent level of English
  • Ability to work effectively both individually and in a team
  • Ability to flourish in a competitive environment
  • Good ICT skills
