Events Assistant

My client is looking for an Events Assistant to join them at their office in Broad-stairs on a 12-Month Contract. This is an opportunity for a Junior Events Assistant to progress into a new industry with lots of potential.
About the Role:We are seeking a highly motivated and organised Events Assistant to join our dynamic events team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to start their career in event management and gain hands-on experience in planning, coordinating, and executing a variety of events.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the events team in the planning and execution of events (conferences, corporate meetings, social events, etc.)
- Assist with venue research, supplier coordination, and event logistics
- Help prepare event materials, including guest lists, badges, programs, and signage
- Provide on-site event support, including set-up, registration, and customer service
- Manage event inventories and equipment before and after events
- Coordinate with vendors, staff, and clients to ensure smooth event operations
- Assist with post-event feedback collection and reporting
Qualifications & Skills:
- Enthusiastic with a passion for event planning and coordination
- Excellent organisational and multitasking skills
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
- Basic knowledge of event management software and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- A team player with a proactive attitude and willingness to learn
- Previous experience or internship in events is a plus, but not essential
