Science at Woodlands is a highly valued subject that has been invested in heavily over the last two academic years to accelerate its improvement journey further. The department has a wealth of experience, led by a diligent, conscientious and supportive Subject Leader.Alongside this, the department benefits from two seconds in department, a lead practitioner, a STEM lead practitioner and a body of well experienced, exceptional classroom practitioners. The department has an exceptional track record in providing additional learning opportunities for students and leads the way in extra-curricular to enhance the learning experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver high quality Science lessons that inspire students.
- Assess students’ work and provide feedback to accelerate their progress further
- Communicate with parents to provide supportive guidance to support their child’s learning at home
- Be a form tutor and deliver the tutor and PSHE programme
