Children's Support Worker
About Us:
At Paragon Social Care, we provide crucial support packages for some of the most vulnerable children and young people in society during times of crisis. With our zero-hour contracts, you have the flexibility to work up to 60 hours per week, earning exceptional remuneration.
Our numerous support packages require dedicated, high-quality support workers passionate about making a positive difference in young lives. This role is ideal for full-time agency workers or those with extremely flexible schedules, as consistency is key for the children we support.
Key Responsibilities: o Provide trauma-informed support to meet the day-to-day needs of young people, ensuring their safety and wellbeing.
o Promote healthy lifestyle choices through structured routines typical of a family home.o Support the child’s engagement with education.
o Foster positive relationships with staff, professionals, and the community.
o Facilitate engagement with broader support services and health appointments.
o Transport children and young people as necessary using your own vehicle.
o Ensure that young people's views about their care, support, and accommodation are heard and acted upon when appropriate.
o Support move-on plans and assist with smooth transitions.
o Communicate effectively within the team and with all multi-agency partners.

Requirements: o Clear DBS check.
o Valid driving license and access to a vehicle.o Willingness to obtain vehicle business insurance and transport young people.
