Manage calls from the general public (transfer calls where necessary). Track and monitor the clinic list for the day and update any changes. Order and send any relevant images/reports via IEP from other organisations. Monitor department emails to ensure all queries, images and requests are responded to quickly on a daily basis.
Book MRI / Xray / US appointments for private, self-pay & NHS patients Responsible for ensuring all relevant queries are handled efficiently and effectively liaising with patients, Consultants and other relevant hospital staff. To demonstrate excellent communication skills when dealing with patients, visitors and members of the multidisciplinary team utilising sensitivity, empathy and ability to manage conflict.
Update MRI / US / Xray appointments, complete orders on compucare and scan in all the relevant paperwork onto Biotronics and compucare. Process any urgent reports that have been checked by Radiographers / Radiologists in an efficient manner. Monitor the ultrasound, xray & MRI reports for results daily basis.
Chase any study reports that havent been finalised if they exceed an acceptable timescale. To promote a safe working environment at all times, assisting in the safe use and maintenance of equipment, reporting untoward occurrences in line with hospital policies and procedures and informing the line manager of any behaviour by others which is perceived to be harmful, violent, aggressive, derogatory or discriminating of others.
Complete patient treatment forms following radiology clinics then share with Outpatient Billing Officer. Monitor requests from Solicitors for X-Rays, Ultrasounds and MRIs and ensure these are taken to finance for payment before any further appointments are created.
