An exciting opportunity has arisen for a caring, compassionate and enthusiastic Band 5 Staff Nurse in our Emergency Department at Doncaster Royal Infirmary. We care looking for highly motivated and passionate individuals who are committed to caring and supporting children within the Emergency Department and providing high quality patient care.

They will work alongside an existing team of experienced nurses who will assist in the training and development within this specialised area.

As a Staff Nurse working within the Emergency Department, you will be a valued member of the team, providing high quality care to patients, in a professional, compassionate and competent manner. You will be able to contribute ideas and support clinical initiatives in order to provide evidence based patient care.

Main duties of the job
  • At all times to work in accordance with the NMC code of conduct (2002)
  • Maintain the highest standards of patient care at all times. Ensure that all members of the team receive adequate support and are conversant with the Trust Policies.
  • Utilise a variety of strategies to communicate effectively with patients and those involved in their care. The post holder must also communicate effectively with staff in the Trust, in other organisations and with the general public.
  • At all times respect patient confidentiality and in particular, the
confidentiality of electronically stored personal / manual data, in line with the requirements of Data Protection and Information Governance.
  • Conform to Trust Medicine Management policy ensuring correct recording of stocks and administration.
  • Complete necessary training for extended roles appropriate to current stage of professional development.
