Mechanical Design Engineer

Our client, a leading engineering company in West Lothian, is looking for a Design Engineer to join their team. This role offers the chance to work on a variety of projects, taking them from initial concept through to final delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop design solutions based on customer requirements.
• Create detailed CAD models and technical drawings (experience with Creo is a plus).
• Oversee projects from quotation to completion, ensuring deadlines and budgets are met.
• Collaborate with internal teams to optimise manufacturing processes.
• Source materials and obtain supplier quotations to manage costs.
• Maintain accurate project documentation and reports.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

• Strong problem-solving and project management skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational abilities.
• A proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Experience in precision engineering, sheet metal, or fabrication is beneficial.
