The Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen at The Colne Community School and College for a Teacher of Girls’ Pe to join our Physical Education Faculty for a period of maternity leave.

We have a new teaching block consisting of 8 new classrooms and 4 specialist Design and Technology rooms fully equipped. A further large scale internal refurbishment took place over the 2022/23 academic year which has improved our school environment for all.

  • This is a part time (60% FTE) maternity cover post, fixed term until 31st December 2025.
  • The position will suit an experienced or newly qualified teacher. As part of your role, you may be required to teach PSHE should the need arise.

  • Be fully qualified to teach through the secondary age range;
  • To be responsible for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young people in the school;

We're looking for you if you have:

  • Teaching experience within the secondary sector;
  • An excellent knowledge of a range of teaching, learning and behaviour management strategies and how to use them effectively;
  • High expectations of yourself and of others.

Actual Salary from: £30,000 - £46,525 (M1 – U3)
