• Annual Salary: £23,700 - £26,500
• Location: Edinburgh
• Job Type: Full-time (36 hours per week, 3 x 12-hour shifts - Fri, Sat & Sun)

Reed Recruitment is excited to represent a leading company in search of dedicated Machine Operators to join their dynamic team. This role is ideal for individuals who are eager to work in a fast-paced environment and contribute to the production of high-quality products.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Work in the Finishing & Inspection Section of the production facility.
• Set up machines in accordance with the allocated Job Sheet.
• Monitor machines for any irregularities during operation.
• Ensure quality control of the finished product, verifying it meets the specifications outlined in the blueprints or job sheets.
• Troubleshoot machine malfunctions and perform minor repairs to ensure continuous operation.
• Adhere to all safety rules, including regular machine maintenance and maintaining a clean work area.
• Complete production paperwork accurately and timely.
• Provide cover for other staff in Dispatch and other sections as required.
• Undertake other relevant duties as needed within the production facility.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Basic literacy and numeracy skills.
• Manual handling and lifting capabilities.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and safety protocols.
• Willingness to undergo training from Monday to Thursday for 4 to 6 weeks to ensure competency before moving to the weekend shift.
• Immediate availability to start.
