Environmental Compliance Director, UK & Ireland Operations (Hiring Immediately)

Our team is seeking a Senior Environmental Compliance Manager who will lead
and drive environmental operational excellence across our operations in UK and
Ireland. They will also provide technical support at our existing operations
and future expansion across the region.
This role is responsible for ensuring strategy and operational tactics are
executed by providing technical support for existing operations and future
expansion across multiple facilities within their region.
The Senior Environmental Compliance Manager will report to the Business
Environmental Leader for UK and IRL through the EU Environmental Assurance and
Protection team.
The Senior Environmental Compliance Manager will also partner with the
operations leadership teams to execute company environmental procedures and
ensure compliance with all applicable specific country, stateprovince, region
and local regulations. Utilizing risk assessments and compliance evaluations, this individual will lead site specific continuous improvement initiatives to
minimize environmental aspects and impacts and communicate and implement best
practices. This role entails up to 50% travel to multiple sites across the

Key job responsibilities- Manage and execute multi-site responsibilities to comply with air emissions,
local reporting.
- Develop and maintain relationships with business partners to support their
initiatives.

About the teamThe Environmental Assurance and Protection team protects Amazon businesses and
supports the needs of our customers by proactively mitigating environmental
regulatory risks and protecting the environment.
### BASIC QUALIFICATIONS- Bachelors degree in civil, chemical or environmental engineering or
- Experience in serving as an environmental technical resource, program
- English written and verbal communication skills, including comfortable
- In depth knowledge of EU, country and region-specific environmental
- Experience in engaging with Regulatory Agencies in permit applications.
- Experience in warehouse operations and logistics is preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and the use of pivot tables and the
- Detailed-minded and technically-oriented to comfortably deep dive with
