The Role

In our small Team, as a Community Development Officer, you will play a key role in identifying local needs and delivering innovative projects that improve lives. You will work closely with individuals, groups, business and third sector partners to:

  • Develop and support community-led initiatives.
  • Empower individuals to build skills, confidence, and networks.
  • Crating a partnership approach to embed community priorities and foster collaboration.
  • Promote inclusion, engagement, and sustainability in all activities.

What we are looking for

Someone who:
  • Is enthusiastic and motivated to make a real difference.
  • Has a genuine passion for supporting people and communities.
  • Possesses excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Can work both independently and collaboratively within a supportive team.
  • Has experience and understanding of the value of community development and empowerment.
  • Understands the complexity and challenges of this type of role.
