Propulsion TechnicianRAF Lossiemouth, Scotland, IV31 6SD
Full time, Permanent, Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week
Salary £35,047 plus benefits
We have an exciting opportunity to join the team here at RAF Lossiemouth as a Propulsion Technician.The Typhoon Propulsion Support Facilities (TPSF) are positioned at both RAF Lossiemouth and Coningsby stations and operate across the forward/depth interface to deliver this service. Their purpose is to deliver ML1/ML2 maintenance solutions to engines and LRIs thereby negating the need to return them to industry.
This role is for an EJ200 Aero Engine Propulsion Technician at the RAF Lossiemouth TPSF – duties and responsibilities are outlined below.
Main accountabilities:
- Safe movement of all assets throughout the TPSF, including use of forklift and cranes
- Unpacking and re-packing of engines and LRIs as necessary
- Visual and Boroscope inspection of engines and associated hardware
- EJ200 Engine repair
- Removal, installation and repair of engine modules and accessories
- Embodiment of outstanding engineering instructions and modifications
- Data business tasks on both engine and aircraft electronic systems (raising and recording completion of work orders)
- Maintenance of a tidy and equipped workshop – use of 5S principles
What you'll need to do the role:
- Engine maintenance experience within an operational environment
- Ability to work competently in a changeable environment.
- Experience of work within a lean environment is desirable.
