Longside - Support Practitioner (Female only)

The Role
You'll become part of a fun, friendly team who support five individuals with learning and physical disabilities to live in their own shared home. You'll provide invaluable support with all aspects of their daily living, including cooking, cleaning, finances, medication and personal care.We'll also need you to be enthusiastic and creative supporting with their hobbies and interests too, these include arts & crafts, walking and going to various social events and activities. The people we support enjoy going swimming so we will need you to feel confident in the pool.
About You
You don't need experience to start your career with us; we recruit on values and we'll give you all the training you'll need if you're successful. We'll even fund your SVQ (SCQF level 6/7) qualification and yearly SSSC registration fees too!
For these opportunities, we are ideally looking for people who have a full UK driving license with at least one year's experience on the roads as we have service vehicles that are used regularly to transport the people we support to various activities and appointments.
Due to the location of our service, if you are not a driver with access to your own vehicle, we will need you to be mindful of the location and be confident that you can travel for your shifts as our service has very limited public transport links.

Confidence to go in the water as swimming is a regular activity
Good communication and organisational skills
A positive attitude with a willingness to learn
Confidence in the use of computers
The ability to cook (baking would be a bonus too!)
Shift Patterns
As we're dedicated to providing the best support possible, shift patterns usually fall between the hours of 0700-2130 hours.

Successful candidates will be required to join the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme and be committed to working towards an SVQ in Social Services and Healthcare with the support from our Training Academy.
