Pastoral Welfare Officer – Primary School (L15)
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Pastoral Welfare Officer at a primary school in the L15 area. This newly established role calls for an educator with relevant experience in key areas.
Key Information:
- Contract Type: Temporary to Permanent (with the intention of offering a permanent contract following a successful trial period)
- Contract Term: Full-time, 35 hours per week, term-time only, plus 5 INSET days
- Start Date: October 2024
The Role:
The school is seeking a dedicated individual to support the provision of pastoral care, with a particular focus on addressing the mental and physical needs of pupils to help remove barriers to learning. The successful candidate will provide guidance and support to assist pupils with their social care and personal development.This role involves delivering interventions to both individuals and groups to promote pupils' wellbeing, so prior experience in delivering interventions is essential.
The ideal candidate will have a warm and approachable manner, be capable of building strong relationships with parents, carers, and staff, and be passionate about supporting young people. Additionally, the role includes providing first aid and medical assistance to pupils, as well as working closely with the attendance team to improve pupil attendance.
