I am looking to speak with experienced General Managers who have a solid and proven background running high volume seasonal venues with accommodation.

The right candidate for my client will be a hands-on leader who is capable of managing a large team in a flagship site with consistent custom from locals and tourists alike, we are also looking for the successful candidate to have proven longevity in previous positions.

Interviews with the client for this position are likely going to be scheduled in October.

Ideal Candidate Profile:
  • Experienced General Manager generating from a high-volume venue with accommodation.
  • Friendly, personable & hands-on with strong leadership skills.
  • Customer Service Champion – capable of delivering exceptional customer service and leading from the front in a high-volume site.
  • Excellent financial knowledge – P&L management, Stock taking, forecasting etc.
  • Strong eye for detail, highly organised and driven.
Role Responsibilities:
  • Oversee Day-to-Day Operations: Ensure smooth daily operations of the pub and accommodation facilities, including opening and closing procedures.
  • Staff Management: Recruit, train, and manage staff.
  • Inventory Control: Monitor stock levels of beverages, food, and accommodation supplies.
  • Customer Service: Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by addressing complaints, overseeing guest services, and implementing quality standards.
  • Financial Reporting: Oversee financial reporting, including daily cash handling, monthly P&L statements, and regular financial audits.
  • Promotions and Events: Plan and execute marketing campaigns, special events, and promotions to drive foot traffic and bookings.
  • Social media and Online Presence: Manage the pub’s online presence, including social media platforms, review sites, and booking portals.
  • Community Engagement: Build relationships with local businesses and community organizations to promote the pub and accommodation services.
  • Health and Safety: Implement and maintain health and safety policies, ensuring the safety of both staff and customers.
  • Guest Experience: Oversee the accommodation services, ensuring guest rooms are clean, well-maintained, and comfortable.
  • Booking Management: Manage room reservations, check-ins, and check-outs efficiently.
  • Business Development: Identify opportunities for business growth, including expanding services, increasing customer base, and improving operational efficiency.
  • Staff Development: Encourage continuous professional development among staff through training and career progression opportunities.
