Young Person Support Worker

Support Worker Roles - Newcastle & Surrounding Areas

Pay Rate: £15 - £18 Per Hour + Mileage on Shift

• 8am - 8pm: Long Day
• 8pm - 8am: Waking Night
• 8am - 11pm: Plus Attached Sleep In

We are pleased to offer block shift bookings for Long Day Sleeps (e.g. 3, 4, or 5 consecutive days of shifts).

• Support vulnerable children with varying mental health issues.
• Assist in completing care plans, risk assessments, reviews, and incident/accident reporting.
• Provide both physical and emotional support, which may include assisting with household tasks and personal care.
• Contribute to the implementation of individual programmes to support learning, independence, and enriching experiences.
• Build trusting relationships with children, ensuring high levels of care and support.
• Maintain routines, from morning wake-up to engaging in outdoor activities.
• Foster professional relationships with clients, families, and external healthcare professionals, adhering to company policies and procedures.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think on your feet.
• Emotional resilience and the capacity to remain calm under pressure.
• High levels of professionalism and a non-judgmental attitude towards service users.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• A current DBS Certificate (we can assist you in obtaining this).
• A driving license is preferred, as locations may vary.
• A Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care or a relevant field would be advantageous.
• Competitive Salary: £15+ Per Hour
• TMVA Training Course: Worth £500, designed to enhance your skills and knowledge.
• Mileage Compensation: 45p per mile for travel during shifts.
