The Faculty of Social Sciences, Criminology, Film & Media is looking to appoint to the following position:
- Teacher of Criminology (with an ability to offer a second subject) - 1 FTE

Generic Key Responsibilities (for all Sefton Sixth Form Teaching Roles)- Deliver high‑quality, engaging teaching that supports excellent learner progress.
- Plan and deliver lessons that follow College curriculum standards and TLA principles.
- Assess student work and provide clear, constructive feedback to support achievement.
- Create effective learning resources and use technology to enhance teaching.
- Support students’ wellbeing, behaviour, attendance and personal development.
- Contribute to curriculum development, innovation and continuous improvement.
- Take part in College events such as open evenings, enrolment and parent meetings.
- Maintain high professional standards, including safeguarding and equality duties.
- Degree in the relevant subject (or a closely related discipline).
- A recognised teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards one).
- Strong subject knowledge and understanding of current course requirements.
- Ability to deliver high‑quality, engaging teaching that supports excellent learner progress.
- Ability to assess learners effectively and provide clear, constructive feedback.
- Confident in using digital tools and platforms to support teaching and learning.
- Ability to maintain high expectations, promote positive behaviour and create an inclusive learning environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students.
- Commitment to safeguarding, equality, diversity and promoting the welfare of young people.
