Overview:

If you have a strong customer service background and would like to learn more about the world of clinial trials, tis is an excellent opportunity to join the the FluCamp Admin team based across our sites in Whitechapel & Canary Wharf in East London.

Flucamp (a part of hVIVO), conduct clinical trials. The end goal of our clinical trials is to potentially eradicate common illnesses like the common cold and flu completely – or at least make treatment of them as easy and effective as possible.

Our studies focus on testing new treatments on our amazing volunteers, in a safe, controlled, clinical environment.

The Clinic Administrator will provide essential administrative support to the clinical team within our busy screening clinic and quarantine clinical trial unit, and for managing the volunteer journey admission and discharge.

This is a Bank position paying £12/hour. We currently require a commitment to full time availability (37.5 ours per week). Shifts will range from 0800 - 1800 with the potential some occasional weekend work so some flexibility is required.

You will be employed via a third party agency and not directly with hVIVO.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Meet and greet volunteers attending appointments
  • Co-ordinate progress of all screened volunteers seen at the site
  • Provide administrative support to the Clinical Team
  • Provide receptionist duties for the screening clinic ensuring the reception area is always tidy and staffed during clinic hours.
  • Responsible for ensuring case notes and other associated documents are tracked and then filed appropriately in the correct patient/volunteer file;
  • Dealing with queries, typing clinic notes, letters and faxes, filing, audit information preparation, database entry and general correspondence.
  • Assisting with medical record management and filing, securing physician signatures, Communication with GPs in securing required information for trial participation.
  • When required performs non-invasive study specific assessments on volunteers.

Skills & Experiences:

  • Grade A-C in GCSE’s or equivalent, especially English, Science and Mathematics
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Effective communication skills
  • Highly competent in using computer systems and Microsoft Office
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Good understanding of data protection and confidentiality
  • An understanding of ethical practice and confidentiality
  • Flexible, willing, positive and supportive
  • Positive and supportive team player
  • Knowledge of ICH GCP/FDA regulations, UK Statutory Instruments and Basic Life Support certification are also desirable.
