About the Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will be an integral part of a passionate, transdisciplinary team of Therapists, Nurses, and Support Workers. Together, they aim to deliver the best outcomes for their students, providing support that transforms lives.
Your Daily Impact Will Include:
- Putting the students at the heart of everything they do.
- Creating a safe, encouraging learning environment where students can achieve their full potential.
- Using personalised approaches to help students access learning, both 1:1 and in groups.
- Assisting Tutors in delivering engaging lessons.
- Tracking and celebrating students' achievements.
- Planning and coordinating exciting outings and day trips.
- Supporting the smooth running of the College with essential administrative tasks.
About You

- A strong desire to support young adults (19-25 years old) with special needs.
- Creativity in coming up with new ideas to engage students.
- Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities.
- Initiative and problem-solving skills in challenging situations.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- A commitment to working towards a Level 3 Diploma in Specialist Support for Teaching and Learning in Schools (with funding provided if needed).
- Experience in a classroom setting, with a knack for tracking and recording students' progress.
- Ideally, knowledge of Autism, Epilepsy, and PMLD.
