The position of Forklift Driver involves:
- Using a Counterbalance to load and unload palletised goods from trailers, rigid vehicles, and vans.
- Using the warehouse system & scanner to receive, locate goods into the racking, pick & dispatch whilst handling all goods with care and attention.
- Replenishing and consolidation of stock when required.
- General housekeeping and upkeep of the warehousing area and equipment.
- Completing any relevant paperwork in line with the warehouse processes to include reporting any defects.
Essential skills required for Forklift Driver:
- Hold a current Counterbalance forklift licence, although full inhouse training can be provided.
- Good communication and team working skills.
- Attention to detail is essential.
- Ability to work within a fast-paced environment.
- Basic numeracy and literacy skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative.
- Starting salary for Forklift Driver is £24,398pa, based on working 40 hours per week.
- Hours of work are Monday to Friday, from 04:00hrs - 12:30hrs.
