Lead Coordinator & Cancer Pathway Navigator, Band 5

This position is an integral part in the improvement of the GI cancer pathways in line with the national timed pathways The post holder will ensure that the pathway is co-ordinated efficiently and effectively, patient pathways are actively tracked to meet cancer waiting times standards in line with the national timed pathway Contribute to the on-going development of the diagnostic pathways in relation to the drive to implement the national timed pathways To co-ordinate the patient GI cancer pathway for the Trust, and have highly functioning planning and organisational skills Be responsible for all administrative tasks involved in managing patient pathways Be responsible for day-to-day management, organisation and delegation of relevant tasks and roles to others as required in relation to the cancer pathways Be responsible for data capture and data entry for Cancer Alliance and internal Cancer Services purposes.

Responsible for leading modernisation initiatives with secretarial staff to achieve continuous improvement in service provision
