An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and enthusiastic locally employed doctor to join Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust (MFT). The role is based at Manchester Royal Infirmary (MRI) but with the opportunity to work across the MFT immunology and allergy services at both MRI and Wythenshawe Hospital.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Immunology Services in Greater Manchester (GM). The successful applicant for this MFT based post will be able to consider working across both MFT and the Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust (NCA) to provide services throughout Greater Manchester.
The two immunology services work together to provide care for all the patients in GM and beyond. The services also have close ties to the Allergy service in Wythenshawe Hospital, the paediatric immunology and allergy service in the Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital, the Manchester Centre for Genomic Medicine in St Mary’s Hospital and the Lydia Becker Institute of Immunology and Inflammation in the University of Manchester.

The clinical services are supported by the Greater Manchester Immunology Service (GMIS based in MFT) which provides laboratory immunology services for Greater Manchester and beyond.

The post holder will provide support to the adult allergy service which will include but is not limited to seeing patients in an outpatient setting. In addition to working closely with the consultants, nursing and administrative team the successful candidate will partake and support the weekly Allergy MDT meetings.

The successful candidate will also provide medical advice over the telephone and provide support to pharmacists, doctors, practice nurses etc as appropriate.
