Your role

A Learning Portfolio Director has the power to transform minds, skill sets, and careers. You inspire transformation in others by being masters of our craft, delivering remarkable experiences and earning unwavering loyalty from your business sponsors.

As a Portfolio Director in the leadership space, you will be responsible for creating programs and experiences with high impact by scoping the learning objectives, understanding the business need, and providing analysis and strategy support.

You play a key role in transforming our leadership learning portfolio to align it to our talent strategy to grow a solid and strong leadership pipeline across the Group.

You can consider yourself as a product manager of a set of Leadership learning solutions that ranges from managerial skills programs to top talent programs to leadership masterclasses, including the leadership development approach and offers for our vice presidents.

You will define the vision, strategy, and roadmap of your learning solution.

More generally, you will be directly responsible/accountable for:

Being the face off with our main key Sponsors
  • Understand their business needs.
  • Be their learning partner by defining the appropriate learning strategy, and associated roadmap of learning solutions. This includes supporting the leadership development strategy refresh, either holistically or in part.
  • Share data analysis and story tell the learning impact.

Engaging with a multitude of internal stakeholders across the organization to understand requirements, ‘Champion’ our function, and drive adoption of our learning solutions.

Engaging with a multitude of external partners to ensure that our ambitions can be supported.

Leading and evolving the portfolio to help deliver against the objectives including:

  • Overseeing the creation and delivery of all learning solutions within the portfolio, upholding quality, and ensuring they all align with the learning strategy. These solutions should be aligned to the roadmap agreed with key sponsors.
  • Working with the Learning Design team and external partners to create the right strategic learning solutions.
  • Managing the team - ensuring that cross-portfolio collaboration remains as the team scales.
  • Working with the Reporting team to define dashboarding solutions that allows demonstration of business impact.
  • Working with the Marketing & Communications and external agencies to ensure the correct communication plans and artefacts are in place.
Playing a leading role within Capgemini University and support its transformation agenda, by
  • Challenging the status quo and recommending improvement / innovations
  • Supporting initiatives
  • Being a ‘Champion’ of the organisation

Your skills and experience

Drive & boldness - Product Management – Problem solving – Agility – Strategic thinking – Stakeholder management.
  • Drive & Boldness – Being able to work through challenging obstacles at speed and identify innovative/creative solutions to problems.
  • You live and breathe product management. You understand the product lifecycle from creation to completion - but know when our learning solutions need a refresh to stay relevant. You have a strong track record in the design-thinking approach to ensure an effective approach from define to run and refine.
  • As a great problem solver, you can take the lead on creating the right solutions and be able to spot where and when you might need to implement a suitable strategy. You have at least a decade’s experience of developing leadership development solutions for senior leaders (VPs) and senior/middle managers, which have been based on strategic business requirements.
  • Being agile is one of your key skills - whether that means working across several projects at once.
  • Change management is second nature. You know how to effect change by implementing strategies that help people adapt to those changes in order to achieve their desired learning outcomes.
  • You are a strategic thinker and able to understand and interpret data to create insights for stakeholders and demonstrate our value to the wider business. You have experience of preparing and planning a leadership development strategy review and refresh.
  • You understand the concept of empathy mapping so our learning solutions are contextual to the target audience, and can be easily adopted.
  • Building and maintaining good stakeholder relationships and managing expectations is one of your key attributes. You have experience of creating presentations and proposals for executive and senior leaders to inform, update and enable input and decisions.
  • You understand our business processes and the specific operations under the Capgemini University remit such as sales, leadership and talent, EM, Architects, GSIP and Portfolio. You’ve had experience of supporting a consistent approach to governance.
