Group Supplier Lead Auditor – UK Chilled Food Industry
Hybrid Role - with UK and International Travel
Are you a proactive supplier auditor passionate about driving quality, compliance, and continuous improvement in the foodindustry? We’re seeking an experienced Group Supplier Lead Auditor to take a lead role in our Compliance team in ensuring our
supply base consistently meets the highest technical and safety standards across all divisions in our multi-site fast growing
business.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As the Group Supplier Lead Auditor, you will be at the forefront of technical and quality assurance, responsible for auditing ourlarge national and international supply base to guarantee compliance with both our group standards and key customer requirements.
You will work closely with suppliers to improve performance across KPIs such as audit scores, compliance with retailer codes of
practice, ethical standards, and addressing supplier non-conformances. Your role will be essential in providing safe, legal, authentic, and quality products through our entire supply chain.
There will be a large amount of travel both in the UK and Internationally with this role, so flexibility with regards to workinghours and being away from home frequently are essential - the opportunity to travel and experience auditing some very interesting
and unique suppliers on such a large scale is not common within the chilled food industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supply Base Auditing: Execute and manage supply base audits according to the Group audit schedule, ensuring new suppliers meet
- Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement by working with suppliers and outsourced partners to ensure compliance
- Risk-Based Audit Scheduling: Develop and maintain a risk-assessed site audit schedule to monitor and elevate technical
- Timely Audit Reporting: Produce accurate, timely audit reports and communicate progress, status, and any issues to the wider
- Issue Resolution: Support sites in root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to address any non-compliance,
- Internal Support: Assist manufacturing sites during customer audits and participate in ad-hoc technical projects as required.
- Standard & Legislation Updates: Regularly review and update supplier and manufacturing standards, ensuring all changes in
legislation and retailer standards are incorporated.

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
To excel in this role, you should bring:
- A degree in Food Science or a related discipline (preferred).
- Lead Auditor training and HACCP Level 3 certification.
- Experience as a Technical Manager, Technical Services Manager, Quality Manager, or Supplier/BRC/Third-Party Auditor.
- Strong technical knowledge of UK and European food regulations and legislation.
- Proven expertise in process review, risk assessment, and continuous improvement.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills for working with suppliers and cross-functional teams.
- Outstanding organisational abilities to prioritize effectively and manage multiple demands in a dynamic environment.
