1-3 days per week, term time only.

As an Educational Psychologist, you will work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and students to promote effective learning, emotional well-being, and personal development. Your expertise will be pivotal in identifying and addressing the psychological challenges students may face, thereby enhancing their educational experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments to understand students' educational and psychological needs, providing tailored recommendations for support.
  • Support our specalist Autism Resource Base and other internal provisions.
  • Provide advice and consultation to staff regarding appropriate interventions and strategies for individual students.
  • Work closely with families to provide guidance and support on both educational and psychological matters.
  • Deliver training sessions for school staff on psychological issues, teaching strategies, and emotional well-being.
  • Collaborate with external agencies and services to ensure comprehensive support for students.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of interventions and support plans.

The successful candidate will possess a strong understanding of child development, educational psychology, and behavior management. You will be able to communicate effectively with children and adults, offering empathy and support while maintaining professional boundaries.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Educational Psychologist, holding a recognised qualification in Educational Psychology.
  • Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Experience working in educational settings, preferably in a school environment.
  • Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to develop and implement intervention plans.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to foster positive relationships with students, parents, and staff.
