The Opportunity We are seeking a motivated and solution-focused Healthcare Support Worker to join our dynamic and innovative team.
About us Connect for Health is a school nurse-led service that supports children, young people and their families in Warwickshire. We deliver key elements of the Healthy Child programme, working to identify and meet the health and wellbeing needs of the school-aged population.
We aim to give individuals the best start in life and reduce health inequalities. About the role The healthcare support worker role is varied and includes the delivery of the national Child Measurement Programme (NCMP) and Health Needs Assessment (HNA) to school-aged children.
On a daily basis you will be recording the height and weight of reception and year 6 pupils and entering the details into a specialist IT programme. You will also support children to complete an online health questionnaire. A high level of accuracy and attention to detail is required.
The role also involves sharing Public Health interventions with children. This is done via school assemblies, classroom lessons and community events. This requires a person who is able to effectively engage and communicate with school-aged children and school staff.
