Workforce Analyst

We are seeking a Workforce Analyst to join our Workforce Insights, Systems & Planning team supporting the organisation in better understanding it's people and ensuring good quality information is available within modern tools to allow the organisation to make robust decisions related to it's people.

The Workforce Insights, Systems & Planning team is a progressive and dynamic team within our organisation whose purpose is to ensure that we get the best out of people and they get the best out of us through human analytics, digital systems management, and long-term workforce planning.

The successful post holder will be an integral member of the Workforce Insights, Systems & Planning team, possessing a strong grounding in data management, data warehousing, people-data, and reporting.

Our ideal candidate will be literate with workforce data, be comfortable talking SQL Server/PowerBI, and have a solid understanding of the employee lifecycle and it's interactions with data.

Main duties of the job

To provide timely, accurate, robust, and relevant workforce information and statistical data relating to the organisation’s people and workforce management systems.

With support, the post holder will be responsible for delivering comprehensive workforce information analysis pertaining to workforce planning and other related workforce work streams. These include both regular and ad hoc reports. The post holder will require an understanding of workforce reporting, data quality, integrity and data sharing as well as the importance of this vital information that may require working both flexibly and working at top of scope.

The post holder will need to analyse data from a range of systems including: Oracle HRMS - Electronic Staff Record (ESR), Access databases, Workforce Management Software and other information/intelligence systems. There will be a requirement for the post holder to ensure the integrity of data captured within these systems, actively analysing outputs and meeting with senior colleagues within the organisation to review and optimise inputs/outputs.

The post holder, with support, will lead on managing ETL and database design to ensure information from these systems is available within a modern reporting platform.

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • Educated to Degree Level or equivalent experience
  • Formal or work based training pertaining to Organisation Wide systems
  • Formal or work based training in Workforce Resource Systems
  • Training in usage of advanced visual presentation software and/or databases
Desirable criteria
  • BSc. in statistics, research or research methods
  • Formal automation, script writing or macros usage qualification
  • Formal or role based training using Workforce Systems

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Project implementation involving technical systems and user training
  • Working within a highly pressured team, Senior Stakeholders and seemingly conflicting deadlines
  • Robust experience of data management and reporting with SQL Server and Power BI
  • Career based experience working with or to KPI’s for data, datasets and or production of reports against formally agreed KPI’s
  • Regular use of databases, spread sheets and live data systems
  • Information Management for organisation wide data
  • Production of highly complex and varied reports
Desirable criteria
  • Project management for technical systems
  • Working with senior stake holders at Director level
  • Creation of diverse and varied dashboard using multiple data sources.
