Day-to-day of the role:
- Support students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in both academic and social development.
- Collaborate closely with the class teacher to plan and implement tailored learning activities.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
- Provide individualised or small group support to students as required.
- Monitor and document student progress, offering feedback to both teachers and parents.
- Assist in classroom management and organisation.
- Engage in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience working with children with ASD or other special educational needs.
- A patient, compassionate, and understanding approach.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working collaboratively within a team.
- Relevant qualifications or training in special education are desirable but not essential.
