Up to £13.50 per hour, depending on experience

Our Outpatients Department currently have an opportunity for a Senior Healthcare Support Worker at our Wessex Hospital. You can start or continue your health care journey with us whilst we'll support you to be your best.
As one of our Senior Health Support Workers, you will:
- Be flexible, motivated and and excellent communicator.
- Put patient care first.
- Carry out administrative duties, follow instructions and meet deadlines.
- Be able to engage with clients to understand their needs in a short space of time.
- Willing to work in a multidisciplinary team within a variety of areas to ensure continuity of patient care.
- Be willing to learn new skills and experiences to keep updated with the latest knowledge and skills.
- Be willing to work within a wide range of specialties (orthopaedics, ophthalmology, gynaecology, urology, dermatology, ENT, maxillo-facial, gastro).
- Assist consultants and nurses with minor procedures, dressings, wound care, phlebotomy, chaperoning and pre-op assessments etc.
To succeed as a Senior Healthcare Support Worker, you will need to:
- Preferably have relevant experience in a hospital or community practice setting.
- Use your organisational skills to ensure day-to-day clinics run smoothly.
- Good IT skills and telephone manner.
- A can do attitude.
- Meet the needs of every individual.
