We have an opportunity for a passionate and dedicated Female Cerebral Palsy Support Worker to join our team in Chippenham, Wiltshire. Our client, who is in her mid-twenties is a very active, fun-loving young lady that enjoys doing various activities throughout the week.
She communicates using a mix of speech and Makaton (sign language), though she hears and understands spoken word perfectly and makes herself understood. She would love to become an active member of her local community. Our client requires 2:1 support during the day and 1:1 support during the night so we are looking to put together a great team.
The successful support worker will be a part of a team delivering 24/7 care. The shifts will include waking days & sleeping nights. We will always aim to produce a rolling rota so you can see your shifts a month in advance. Please note the successful support worker will need to have a full UK drivers license with access to their own vehicle.
Pay Rate: £15 - £16 per hour Working Hours: 24 hour shifts (including weekends) Key Responsibilities: Engaging with personalised routines. Completing daily living activities, including personal hygiene and mobility. Administering medication and monitoring health conditions.
Providing emotional support and companionship. Maintaining accurate records of care provided and reporting any changes in clients’ conditions. Collaborating with a range of healthcare professionals and family members to ensure comprehensive care.
Requirements: Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in complex care. To be able to deal with challenging behaviours. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Compassionate, patient, and empathetic nature. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
