The Opportunity
We are thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity at our client’s 24-hour center in Ashton, driven by the need for an additional Veterinary Surgeon to enhance patient care. Known for its excellence in minimally invasive surgical techniques, Ashton continues to set the standard in veterinary practice.We’re looking for a qualified professional, ideally with a Medicine or ECC certificate, to join a dynamic team that values clinical freedom and the pursuit of high-quality care for pets in the Liverpool area.
The facility features a spacious prep area, a modern imaging suite, and dedicated dog and cat wards, including a separate isolation area. With convenient access to downtown Liverpool and the picturesque Pennines, you’ll enjoy a perfect blend of urban and rural experiences during your time off.
This position offers a 4-day workweek with no out-of-hours responsibilities, and you can choose between a 1:3 Saturday schedule or a 1:6 full weekend rotation. The site is supported by an experienced out-of-hours team, ensuring seamless patient care through excellent communication and handover processes.

Ensure comprehensive clinical handovers for patients needing after-hours care
Share and implement clinical best practices across the team and broader community
Your Skills and Experience
RCVS registered Veterinary SurgeonProven ability to deliver exceptional care to both patients and clients
Experience working effectively in a team environment
Strong clinical leadership skills
Background in fostering a progressive clinical culture
Familiarity with supporting nurse consults and Schedule 3 procedures
Skilled in coaching and influencing colleagues for optimal team performance
