Customer Service Advisor - Funeral Care

Join the Coop Group in Manchester as a Customer Service Advisor and become a vital member of their vibrant team in the heart of Manchester. In this position, your empathetic skills will be crucial as you offer invaluable customer support within Coop's Funeralcare department.

Although comprehensive training will be offered, a strong grasp of IT systems and prior experience in a contact centre or customer-facing role is a must.

The office is conveniently located just 2 minutes away from Victoria train and tram station and 3 minutes away from Shudehill bus station. We offer state-of-the-art facilities, including a fully equipped gym, coffeehouse, as well as a shop and post office.

Working Hours:
  • 37.5 hours per week on a rotational basis.
  • First week: Monday - Friday, 9 am - 5 pm for training.
  • Weekend working is required (Every Saturday, 1 in 2 Sundays with pre-arranged lieu days during the week).
  • After training, engage in diverse shift patterns between 8am to 8pm
Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage inbound queries from customers, members, colleagues, and suppliers using various systems.
  • Deliver exceptional customer experiences through multiple channels, including phone, email, social media, and letters.
  • Utilize your initiative to determine the most appropriate approach for each case, escalating complex issues to other teams and senior colleagues.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance Co-op's products, systems, and processes.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Customer service experience.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • A commitment to delivering an outstanding level of customer service with every interaction.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in general IT skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word).
