A quick look at the role.

The role of the Engineering Manager will be to inspire, coach and develop your onsite engineering team to create a safe and high performing team who maximise uptime on your site. You will be adept at managing stakeholder relationships and able to communicate effectively when the pressure is on.

You will support the work of others through developing their skills & implementing best practice. Your work will support the continuous improvement of a safe and high performing culture within your engineering teams.

The engineering manager is accountable to the Site Manager. You will be pivotal to the success of this site and be expected to quickly become an integral part of the site leadership team.

This is a high-profile role at one of the large materials recovery facilities in the UK. The site runs 24hrs Mon – Fri and weekends when required, processing 80,000t per year.

Requirements

Here’s what we require.
  • Level 3 Qualified Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  • Previous engineering/maintenance management and leadership experience.
  • Experience of managing health and safety within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
  • An engineering / asset management qualification
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Budget / P&L management skills
  • Comfortable with the use of all Microsoft applications and ability to use or learn to use others. (Wrike)
  • Highly skilled manager with a coaching and developmental style. You will be confident in effectively managing the performance of others.
