What do the team do?

The Insolvency & Recovery team support a range of clients, including companies looking to restructure, creditors requiring debt recovery support and individuals facing personal insolvency. The types of work that they undertake includes formal insolvency appointments (such as administrations and liquidations), independent reviews/preparation of financial forecasts, debt restructuring, HMRC arrears solutions and accelerated mergers and acquisitions (AMAs).

Led by two partners, the team is predominately focused on work across the East Anglia region. We have a well-established network of local contacts that regularly refer work to us, as such we're looking to grow the team in our Norwich office to meet growing demand.

What will I be doing?

As an Insolvency & Recovery Administrator you will have ownership of the following tasks:

  • Planning and undertaking smaller cases, raising queries with the client or manager.
  • Documenting a good understanding of the clients business, risks and systems and controls.
  • Drafting routine statutory documents.
  • Clearing simple queries directly with client and making adjustments to pre-appointment documents (SOFA, Directors report, Declaration of solvency).
  • Carrying out moderately complex reports and/or investigations.
  • Assisting on larger and more complex cases, completing allocated sections thoroughly and effectively.

What experience do I need?

Whilst having the following experience is advantageous, we value passion and potential. If you meet the minimum criteria listed below and are eager to develop yourself, we would love to hear from you:

  • Experience of working in an insolvency role previously (minimum criteria).
  • Bookkeeping/accounts experience and familiar with accounting to trial balance (minimum criteria)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good IT skills, including use of Microsoft (Excel and Word) and Outlook.
