Salary: £28,046 - £32,010Hours: 36 per week

Looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our very busy supportive and friendly locality team. You will work alongside Social Worker and Occupational Therapists caring out assessments for Equipment and Minor adaptations, Assessment for Support and Reviews of supporting the community and home setting.Assisting Occupational Therapists with minor adaptations to property and minor equipment provision. Assisting Social workers with complex care planning and care management duties, other duties include assisting citizens in our locality with housing and social issues .
The South East of Edinburgh is a diverse location covering Morningside, Edinburgh City Centre, Gilmerton, Liberton, Hyvots and Ferniehill. We offer hybrid working meaning a mix of office based, community and home working will be expected.
Purpose of Job: To contribute to the provision and monitoring of services for individuals and their carers according to changing circumstances within both community and hospital teams.
Within defined boundaries, co-ordinate the provision of a range of social care services and equipment to meet the assessed needs of individuals requiring assistance, in order to enable them to maintain and maximise their independence, facilitate safe hospital discharge and to make choices about their quality of life.
This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required.You will be required to provide this check. An unconditional offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.

Our salary range typically reflects the initial starting salary and annually increases until it reaches the top of the range.
