We are looking for a Fall Protection Technician with a strong mechanical background to join our team covering London and the South East. Ideally, you will be based in the North of London to enable collaboration with existing teams. You must be comfortable working from height and be flexible to work across the UK if required.Applicants are encouraged to visit our website for a taste of the working environment.
The role will require you to assist with inspection, maintenance, repair and installation services of access and safety equipment located on high-rise buildings. As well as the on-site maintenance tasks, excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential, as you will be required to complete site paperwork using tablets, as well as communicate with the office team and client.If you love a varied role, with no two days being the same, this could be the role you have been looking for.
Job Specification
As a Fall Protection Technician, you will work independently as well as with experienced engineers in this safety-critical role. You must be able to demonstrate previous experience working in a similar type of position and have a methodical, logical and practical approach to your work.This is a fast-paced, interesting and busy role so enthusiasm, flexibility, a willingness to learn, initiative, the ability to multi-task and a desire to achieve deadlines are essential.
Requirements of the Fall Protection Technician position:
You must have a strong mechanical background, ideally working on equipment such as safety lines, eye bolt anchors, handrails, ladders, walkways, anchorsYou must be comfortable using power tools
You must have a desire to work safely at all times and align with our industry safety standards
Previous experience of working at height desired but not essential, however you must be comfortable being outdoors and working at height.Job role includes early site starts and weekend work, with occasional night working when required.
You must be willing to be involved in company supported education and training programme.
Travel around the UK essential.

Tasks would include:
Inspection and testing requirements using gauges and other tools.Fault finding and reporting back on safe means of repairs.
Installation of fall protection equipment to relevant British Standards.
Using a variety of tools to carry out maintenance and repair works on mechanical equipment on site.
Completing paperwork and collecting equipment information.
