Job overview

The post holder will support the Porter Services Supervisor and Porter Team Leader in supervising the provision of Porter Services delivery that is managed from a Facilities Centre based at the hospital and ensuring a high quality service is delivered to patients, staff and visitors in accordance with service specifications.

The post involves carrying out the segregation of General and Clinical waste throughout the hospital on a 7 day basis. This will include working shifts on a set rota.

Main duties of the job

Support the Porter Services Supervisor and Porter Team Leader in supervising the provision of Porter Services delivery that is managed from a Facilities Centre based at the hospital and ensuring a high quality service is delivered to patients, staff and visitors in accordance with service specifications.

The post holder will be required to perform supplementary duties to respond to service needs and that are appropriate to the Facilities services and in line with their banding.
