Job Duties:
- Provide tailored academic support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
- Create individualised learning plans based on students' specific needs and abilities
- Deliver engaging and interactive lessons to enhance students' understanding and progress
- Assess students' progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly
- Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other professionals to ensure holistic support for students
Required Qualifications:
- Experience working with students with SEN
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs
- Understanding of relevant educational policies and procedures
Education:
Relevant qualification in Education or Special Education
Experience:
Prior experience working as an SEN Tutor or in a similar role
Knowledge and Skills:
- Knowledge of different learning styles and strategies to support SEN students
- Excellent organisation and time-management skills
- Ability to build rapport with students and create a positive learning environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Additional training or certification in Special Education
- Experience using assistive technology to support learning
Working Conditions:
The role involves working part-time hours on a temporary basis in an educational setting with students with SEN. The tutor may need to travel to different locations within South East England, Berkshire, Wokingham.
