You will be required to support the finance director while the company goes through a staffing restructure during a busy period in the business.
Your new role
The finance director is looking for a reliable & solid number 2 to lead and support and support the finance function, producing financial reports, and ensuring regulatory compliance.- Lead on income all accounting and negotiating insurance price uplifts
- Report and provide written commentary of month-end performance to Head of Finance with variances.
- Support the Head of Finance in the production of the year-end statutory accounts.
- Support the Head of Finance in the production of annual budgets.
- Lead on returns to the parent organisation.
- Create and maintain financial reports clearly for non-financial parties.
- Review all month end reconciliations and highlight issues to the Head of Finance.
- Review aged debt.
- Support/train Finance team.
- Ensure compliance with both financial and industry regulations
- Create forward-looking budgeting models and feed into the group budgeting process.
- Work collaboratively with other departments to achieve company goals.
- Engage and support the Head of Finance with external partners e., auditors, banks, insurance companies.
- Lead on intercompany reconciliations.
- Undertake ad hoc project work.
- We are looking to speak with experienced senior finance interims who are immediately available.
- It is essential you are qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA).
- Your role will include managing, training & mentoring the team, so we are looking to speak with personable & approachable candidates who enjoy this aspect of the role.
- Previous healthcare/NHS or similar industry experience would be desirable for this role.
- Interim contract starting as soon as possible for initially 4-6 months
