Chef
Roseland Retirement Village based in Tregony, Cornwall is currently seeking a talented and passionate Cook/Chef to work 30 hours a week 4 out of 7 days
As a Chef at Roseland Village you will be responsible for:
Menu Planning: Designing and creating diverse and nutritious menus that cater to the dietary needs and preferences of our residents.Cooking: Executing culinary dishes with precision and creativity, ensuring high-quality meals are served for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Catering to Dietary Restrictions: Accommodating special dietary requirements and restrictions, including low-sodium, gluten-free, and other individual needs.
Kitchen Management: Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the kitchen, including inventory management, ordering supplies, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
Collaboration: Working closely with the dining services team to ensure a seamless and enjoyable dining experience for residents.
Adherence to Health and Safety Standards: Maintaining compliance with all health and safety regulations, including proper food handling and sanitation practices.
Special Events: Planning and executing special dining events and activities for residents.
What we are looking for in our Cook/Chef:
Proven experience as a Cook/Chef in a similar setting (retirement community, assisted living, or similar environment preferred).- Culinary degree or relevant certification.
- Strong knowledge of nutrition and dietary requirements for seniors.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and practices.
- Creativity and passion for delivering high-quality, creative, appealing meals.
