Surrey and Borders Partnership NHS Foundation Trust are looking to recruit a Band 6 Physiotherapist to work in our Older Peoples Mental Health inpatient unit at New Spenser Ward, based on site at St. Peters Hospital.
This post is for 37.5 hours per week.
The post holder will be passionate about the rights and welfare of people with mental health needs and see person-centred care as a cornerstone of their practice.
We have a department of eleven specialist physiotherapists working in mental health and learning disability across the Trust. Supervision is provided on an individual basis as well as peer supervision.
SABP is a large organisation and leadership development alongside CPD is actively encouraged.
The post will also be supported by the other Older Peoples Physiotherapists across the trust and the Lead Physiotherapist. We hold regular Physiotherapy trust wide meetings with CPD sessions and actively encourage internal and external learning and sharing within each of the roles within the trust.
Main duties of the job
At SABP we are passionate about ensuring that both the physical and emotional needs of people using our services are met.
The post holder will have a high degree of autonomy, providing high quality clinical care to people that use our services, as well as having a key role in supporting the development of skills across the inpatient wards and the wider physiotherapy team.
You will also be contributing to service and policy development within the service. Older Peoples inpatient services support the needs of people coping with acute, complex mental health needs with a focus on empowerment and recovery.
The candidate must have a full and valid driving license and access to a vehicle for work purposes
