Swimming Teacher
We provide lessons mainly to children, but we do have adult lessons.
We want Swimming Teachers who are approachable, friendly and have a patient nature to help build pupils trust, and have the ability to motivate and encourage pupils.
YOU NEED to be STA or Swim England ASA Level 2 qualified, but we will consider level 1 teachers (please contact us with regards to level 1). Ideally the candidate should have either; The National Rescue Award for Swimming Teachers & Coaches, or a lifeguarding qualification.
Knowledge of health & safety, Child Protection and other relevant legislation will be a requirement.DBS will have to be completed prior to working, recent DBS (updated version) would be of help in this process.
The shifts available can be discussed but will include week day shifts and possibly one day in the weekend.
Shifts such as Saturday & or Sunday starting around 7.30am till around 5.15pm ( including an unpaid break of 30 minutes), could be available as well as others during the week ,We would prefer for applicants to want to work a full Shift rather than a couple of hours a day, but will consider.
The role is based on a termly fix term contract and hours will be available from September 2024.Lessons are termly (we follow school terms) but we do provide Crash courses during school holiday weeks in the mornings (hours limited) other hours may also be available at relevant rates to the roles available during these holidays.
Hourly Rates are between £19 & £21.00 (rates quoted are for level 2)We do require Teachers to be in the water with Beginners. (Water Temperature 31/32 degrees).
There may be extra hours available as and when during the week.
We have a Pension Scheme, holiday pay; relevant to hours worked and we supply uniform for teaching.
We are also testing using rapid/lateral flow tests.
PLEASE NOTE There will be cleaning on Poolside included in the role.
