They are also expected to undertake further training and to develop own knowledge and skills and to contribute to the development of pharmacy services. Each rotation has been designed to develop their clinical and personal skills to prepare them for their next role as a specialist clinical pharmacist.
Rotations will include some of the following:- General Medicine (incl. Respiratory, Stroke, Cardiology)
- Elderly Care
- Surgery
- Paediatrics and Maternity
- Medicines Information
- Technical Services (incl. Chemotherapy and TPN)
- Provide a high-quality pharmacy service through medicines optimisation, advising on cost-effective care and attending MDT ward rounds
- Collaborate with the MDT to optimise patient treatment plans
- Supporting the training and development of staff members and vocational students
- To stay up to date with the latest advancements in pharmacy and Trust practices
