What skills and experience we're looking for

We are looking to appoint a professional and thoughtful Teaching Assistant to join our well-established SEND Department. The successful candidate will provide support for our SEND pupils. We would particularly welcome applications from candidates with experience of working with pupils who have a diagnosis of ASD, PDA or ODD.

You will assist these pupils in lessons and, were required, assist with moving around the school. Teaching Assistants are highly valued at the school in supporting our pupils to realise their full potential.

Candidates should be able to demonstrate effective, clear communication with pupils and adults alike, excellent literacy and organisational skills, the ability to enthuse and motivate pupils at all levels and a drive to improve future opportunities available to our pupils.

This role would suit a graduate who wishes to gain in-school experience prior to undertaking teacher training as well as those who would like to pursue a career as a Teaching Assistant.
