More detail about the role This Senior Research Nurse post will require someone who has a range of clinical knowledge, skills and experience and who can act as a resource to advise and support those involved in clinical trials at all levels.
You will be working on a broad range of clinical trials planning, implementing, organising and managing concurrent research projects. You will develop networks with multidisciplinary teams across the Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, Community Hospitals and health organisations in order to support clinical trials that recruit people from all walks of life, from healthy volunteers to those with complex health conditions and across all ages group.
You will support the safe conduct of research in accordance with the Research Governance Framework and Good Clinical Practice guidelines and provide assurance that the rights, safety and well-being of trial participants are protected. The post holder will provide specialist knowledge, skills and experience within clinical research, and act as a resource to advise and support those involved in clinical trials at all levels.
The post holder will be able to autonomously plan, implement, organise and manage concurrent research projects. They will develop networks with Multidisciplinary Teams across the Trust and other appropriate local and national agencies. They will coordinate and manage the relevant study portfolio and deliver recruitment accrual in line with performance and monitoring objectives.
As a Senior Research Nurse/Practitioner they will be responsible for the implementation and monitoring of the clinical requirements associated with research to ensure optimum delivery of clinical trials. They will ensure that research will be conducted in accordance with the Research Governance Framework and Good Clinical Practice guidelines to provide assurance that the rights, safety and well-being of trial participants are protected.
They will ensure that all research procedures are conducted according to study protocols and will be accountable for the recruitment, data collection and care of research participants with a focus on providing a quality experience. Working Pattern: Monday- Friday 830-1630.
