The opportunity has a risen for a passionate pharmacist with specialist knowledge of chemotherapy to join our team. The small team works closely as an integrated part of the MDT where we look to innovate and continually develop the service. You will be responsible for providing a specialist patient-focused clinical pharmacy service to our chemotherapy day case unit whilst mentoring out less experienced team members.

  • RRP payment of £2000 alongside the Band 8a salary terms and conditions including repayment clause apply .

Main duties of the job

This post for a person established in their career path will balance clinical work to ensure that SACT is use safely and effectively with line management, audit and trials work.

We are a super friendly team with a passion for delivering excellent patient care. We have a bright and airy department with a large tearoom and access to outdoor open spaces to improve wellbeing. Our service is open 7 days a week and our current opening hours are Monday to Friday 8.30am-5pm (with no late night rota), Saturday 9am-1pm and Sunday 9.30am-1pm. Weekend shifts are 1 in 8 with one bank holiday per year.

Essential criteria
  • GPhC registration
  • Post-graduate diploma or equivalent experience
  • Extensive hospital experience
  • Experience of management and mentoring
Desirable criteria
  • Independent prescriber
  • Experience as a mentor for clinical diploma
