As a Hospital Porter at Sodexo in Royal Stoke Hospital, you play a key role in the daily running of the hospital, ensuring the safe transportation of patients, as well as equipment, blood products, and gas cylinders. What you’ll do:
- Transfer patients in a safe and appropriate manner via means of walking, wheelchair, stretcher, or beds
- Always conduct yourself professionally, and be aware of patients’ dignity and privacy when it comes to their personal information
- Give assistance and help with any queries raised by patients and visitors
- Be a champion of health and safety and use any personal protective equipment provided
- Assist in the transfer of seriously injured patients from the ambulance/helicopter to the A & E department
